How Can I Help?

You can help Australia stay safe by keeping in mind that everyday chemicals can pose a security risk and they can be misused.

You can also help by using, storing and handling chemicals, even those contained in everyday household items, in a responsible way.

What Can I Do?

You can be a great help by being aware of the potential, illegal use of chemicals and report any suspicious activity to the National Security Hotline on 1800 123 400.

This is a 24-hour, free-call number.

Trained operators take every call seriously and you can remain anonymous.  Information is passed on to Australia’s police and security agencies for analysis and further investigation.

To report a crime or for general advice about local security and safety issues in your community, call your local police.

For police, fire or ambulance response to a life threatening emergency or if a crime is in progress, call 000.
